Yes. The app uses Electron's content protection feature (setContentProtection), which prevents the window from appearing in screen captures, screen recordings, and screen-sharing streams on Windows. This includes Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, Discord, OBS, and others.

Which AI providers does it support?

Accepted Answer

ThinkSnap AI supports Google Gemini (Gemini 2.0 Flash) and Groq (Llama 3.3 70B for reasoning, Whisper Large V3 Turbo for transcription). You can use either or both.

Do I need to pay for the AI providers?

Both Gemini and Groq offer generous free tiers. Most users will not need to pay for casual or moderate use. Heavy use (multiple hours of continuous transcription per day) may require a paid tier on the AI provider's side.

Is my data stored anywhere?

What happens if I run out of API credits?

The app will display an error message like "Rate Limit Reached." You can switch to the other AI provider using the EARS/BRAIN toggles, or wait for your rate limit to reset (usually within minutes).

Can others hear or detect the app?

Accepted Answer

No. ThinkSnap AI has no taskbar icon, makes no sound, and cannot be captured on screen share. It is completely silent and invisible to anyone you are sharing your screen with.
